Day after
Christmas
It was a good
Christmas, I think this year Christmas came quite easy, there was no stress, no
last minute shopping, no big meals to prepare, not lots of parties to go to,
nop, it was about us, in our new home, with my parents, friends and joy.
Your dad had a
little scare and ended up at the hospital on the 24th in the
morning, it was nothing and besides a big bill that will get, your dad is
healthy and I think he just needs to take it easy for a while.
Sometimes we
just get caught up in a day to day, work, home, school, kids, hubby, wife
and day after day the goal is simple but
difficult: enjoy every day while keeping the sanity. Problem is sometimes, you
have to lose the sanity, complain a little and say out loud: I am tired and
stressed out. I think your father and me try so hard to keep our lives in
harmony that we tend to forget that is actually something really hard to do.
So after a few
hours in emergency, we were back home to enjoy the rest of the day, eat good
food, have a few drinks and see how 2 and 5 years old see Christmas (an awesome
happy jolly holiday).
We did our
UNICEF donation too, I let you chose what you wanted to donate, which was milk
and a soccer ball. I hope that the idea that Christmas is just to receive is
not true as is more about giving that receiving. You did good, you were happy
you were giving a soccer ball to kids so they could play, I felt proud of you.
Love,
Mom
